A tribute to Elizabeth Taylor

Dame Elizabeth Taylor was a true icon and possibly the last living movie-star legend in Hollywood. I’m sure everyone was familiar with her timeless, elegant style... She really was the epitome of old fashioned Hollywood glamour – a trend so, so popular today. A British born American (like a soon-to-be me),  she was just one of the few stars that are a true inspiration, not only in her personal fight as a social activist against aids and in the fascinating life she led, but for her effortless and captivating beauty. Icons like Ms. Taylor will live on a source of inspiration for many designers like myself, forever. May she rest in peace.

In the Spotlight – Nic’s button buds.

Being a recent bride myself, I’m very aware that when it comes to selecting your wedding vendors and products, the choice can sometimes seem overwhelming! That's why I’m pleased to introduce you all to my new feature – ‘In the Spotlight’.

Once a month, I’ll be handpicking one outstanding wedding professional, artisan or company to review and recommend. Hi there everyone!

Here you'll find twice weekly posts offering great competitions, exclusive discounts and sneak peeks on my newly released pieces from my bridal jewelry and accessory range at Aurora Jewelry Boutique.

Being a recent bride myself, it is not very long since I was experiencing the woes of planning my wedding and putting my bridal ensemble together. With hundreds and hundreds of accessory options to choose from, I understand that it can be quite overwhelming, not to mention expensive. So with that in mind, by following my blog and viewing my handcrafted pieces on Etsy, I hope it will give you a new sense of bridal style direction and a great source of inspiration.

Along the way, I'll also be introducing you all to some of the best wedding vendors and products I have come across whilst planning my own wedding - including many from the handmade community. Whether it be a beautiful, vintage style button bouquet or an equisitely embellished lace garter, having something that has been hand crafted just for your own wedding day is something that I am proud to promote and be a part of.
